Dante in the Highlands…

So while many of you were enjoying a relaxing Easter weekend, I was filming in Perthshire and the Highlands.

But this ‘client’ is someone I know very well – my little sister! Charlie V Martin has her debut solo Fringe show this year and she has asked me to produce her show trailer and the video links for the live performance.

‘Dante’s History of the Banished’ follows Dante ‘through space, time and potted plants’ while we ‘drink patriarchy under the table with Eve and seek life advice from Napoleon’. King Lear also attempts to tell his story in 2 minutes.

We had a great time combining the surreal characterizations with the grandeur of locations very dear to our hearts. The Hermitage in Dunkeld, CairnGorm Mountain, Loch Morlich, Findhorn and the Anagach Woods in Grantown-on-Spey all feature, and of course, it would not be Easter weekend in the Highlands without all 4 seasons in one day.

So keep a look out for the trailer and make sure you get along to Paradise in the Vault this August to see ‘Dante’s History of the Banished’. Keep track of Charlie’s work and show updates here: https://charlievmartin.com/
